  • 2 tsp. bacon drippings
  • 2 tsp. flour
  • 2 c. stewed tomatoes (with liquid)
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

    Heat drippings in small iron skillet over low (300°) heat. Sprinkle flour over drippings and brown.

    Add stewed tomatoes with liquid.

    Salt and pepper to taste.

    Cook slowly for 3 to 5 minutes. Serve over hot buttermilk biscuits or rice.
