- equal parts water and rice (I use basmati rice, but it's up to you)
- cooking oil, 2-3 tbl
- tomatoes, 1 can diced
- 1 can black eyed peas
- 1 onion, diced
- 1-2 cloves garlic, minced
- hot sauce (optional)
