  • Slice onion
  • equal parts water and rice (I use basmati rice, but it's up to you)
  • cooking oil, 2-3 tbl
  • tomatoes, 1 can diced
  • 1 can black eyed peas
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1-2 cloves garlic, minced
  • hot sauce (optional)
