  • 4 1/2 lb. ripe tomatoes
  • 4 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. broken cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 c. vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp. allspice
  • 1 tsp. cloves

    Scald and peel tomatoes, then quarter them.

    Place in pan and add sugar, vinegar and spices. Cook slowly until thickened and put in jars.
