- 7 lb. tomatoes
- 1 lemon
- sugar

1Peel and core tomatoes.

2Squeeze out all liquid.

3Cut into quarters and then cut again.

4Cook for 30 minutes.

5Measure the cooked tomatoes and add equal part sugar as you have cooked tomatoes.

6Add the lemon, sliced real thin.

7Simmer until thick; stirring constantly.

8Pour hot mixture into jars and seal.

9Makes about 6 pints.
