Tomato Soup

Ingredients

  • 2 (15 ounce) cans stewed tomatoes
  • 1 (10 ounce) can chicken broth
  • 14 cup melted butter
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 pinch on baking soda
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream

Directions

    Combine first 4 ingredients in pot.

    (I put the stewed tomatoes through a food processor first as we don't like the chunks).

    Bring to a boil.

    Reduce to a simmer and simmer 60 minutes.

    Add baking soda.

    Wait for fizz to go down.

    Add whipping cream.

    Wait until soup is desired temperature.

    Serve (with grilled cheese of course).
