  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 28 ounces canned tomatoes
  • 5 cups chicken broth
  • 12 cup uncooked oatmeal
  • 12 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground basil
  • 14 teaspoon black pepper
  • 14 cup skim milk

Directions

    Saute garlic and onion in olive oil in a large pot.

    Add remaining ingredients except milk.

    Cook 20-30 min if using canned tomatoes.

    For fresh tomatoes cook 30-60 minutes.

    Add milk.

    Puree with hand blender.
