- 8 lb. or 4 large cans tomatoes
- 2 stalks celery (with leaves)
- 5 whole cloves
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 sprig parsley
- 4 Tbsp. soft margarine
- 4 Tbsp. flour
- 3 tsp. salt
- 3 Tbsp. sugar
Directions

1Bring the first 5 ingredients to a boil and simmer 2 hours. Strain. Blend the remaining ingredients. Add this blended mixture to the tomato mixture slowly.

2Bring to a boil. Sprinkle with cloves when serving.

3This is a good way to use surplus tomatoes in the fall.
