- 2 to 3 lb. lean chuck
- 3 marrow bones
- 2 or 3 bay leaves
- a few whole peppercorns
- small sour cream
- 2 large cans whole tomatoes
- carrots
- 1 Tbsp. flour
Directions

1Put 3 quarts water in large saucepan.

2Add meat, bones, bay leaves and peppercorns.

3Cover and let boil for 1 or 2 hours.

4Add tomatoes and carrots; cook 1 hour.

5Add 1 tablespoon flour to sour cream and mix.

6Make sure soup is bubbly before adding sour cream mix; stir to mix well.

7Cover and simmer 1 hour.
