- 1 1/3 c. sugar
- 4 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 1/2 tsp. allspice
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. ground cloves
- 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can tomato soup
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 c. water
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Grease and flour 2 round layer pans (8 or 9-inch oblong or 13 x 9 x 2-inch).

3Measure dry ingredients in a large bowl.

4Add soup and shortening; beat at low speed for 2 minutes, scraping sides and bottom of bowl frequently.

5Add eggs and water and beat for 2 minutes.
