- 1/2 c. shortening or margarine
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. tomato soup, in which 1 tsp. baking soda has been dissolved
- 2 c. flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. cloves
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 c. raisins
- 1 c. chopped walnuts
Directions

1Blend shortening and sugar together.

2Add tomato soup and soda.

3Sift dry ingredients together and add to the first mixture. Stir in nuts and raisins.

4Pour into loaf or tube pan and bake at 350° for 50 to 60 minutes.
