- 250 g butter
- 125 g caster sugar
- 1 pinch salt
Directions

1Cream butter and sugar.

2Sift dry ingredients and work into mixture til smooth but not greasy.

3Press into ungreased pan.

4Dough must be about 1 cm in thickness.

5Cut into fingers and bake at 140C for 1 hour.

6Watch from 45 minutes that the shortbread does not become too browned.
