- 2 c. raisins
- 1 can condensed milk
- 1 Tbsp. grated lemon peel
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1 c. (2 sticks) margarine
- 1 1/3 c. packed brown sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 1/2 c. regular or quick oats
- 1 c. flour
- 1 c. walnuts
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
Directions

1Combine first 4 ingredients together and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture bubbles; cool.

2Beat margarine with sugar; add vanilla, oats, flour, walnuts, soda and salt.

3Reserve 2 cups and press remaining onto bottom of prepared pan.

4Spread raisin mixture and then sprinkle reserved 2 cups mixture on top.

5Grease 9 x 13-inch baking pan.

6Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes.
