Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp. margarine or butter
  • 1 c. chopped onion
  • 1 (10 oz.) pkg. cream of chicken soup
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 1 (12 1/2 oz. or 9 1/4 oz.) can tuna, drained
  • 1 1/2 c. Minute rice
  • 2 Tbsp. minced parsley
  • 1/3 c. toasted slivered almonds (optional)
  • 1 1/2 c. milk

Directions

    Melt margarine in large skillet (medium-high heat).

    Add onion.

    Cook until tender, not browned.

    Stir in vegetables, milk, soup and pepper.

    Bring to boil.

    Stir in tuna, rice and parsley. Cover.

    Remove from heat.

    Let stand 5 minutes or until liquid is absorbed.

    Add almonds, if desired.
