Turkey-Broccoli Bake

  • 2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen chopped broccoli
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 2 Tbsp. butter or oleo
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 c. milk
  • 1/2 c. shredded Swiss cheese
  • 2 c. cooked turkey, cut in strips
  • 1/2 c. bread crumbs
  • 1/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 Tbsp. melted oleo

Directions

    Prepare broccoli according to package directions.

    Drain well. Mix with lemon juice.

    Spread in 9-inch round baking dish.

    In saucepan, melt the 2 tablespoons oleo.

    Blend in flour and salt. Add milk all at once.

    Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and bubbles.

    Remove from heat and stir in Swiss cheese until melted.

    Add turkey.

    Spoon turkey mixture over broccoli. Combine bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese and melted butter.

    Pour over casserole.

    Bake in 350° oven for 20 to 25 minutes.
