Ingredients

  • 8 c. bread crumbs or cubes
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2 c. coarsely ground carrots
  • 1 small onion, ground
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • 1 tsp. sage
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1/8 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp. nutmeg
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • turkey heart, liver and gizzard

Directions

    Boil turkey heart, liver and gizzard for 1/2 hour, cool and grind in meat grinder.

    Also, grind the carrots and onion and store in separate containers in refrigerator until ready to stuff turkey.

    Then, mix all ingredients together and loosely stuff turkey.

    Yields 12 cups.
