Turkey Ham And Corn Chowder

- 1 c. chopped onion
- 1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper
- 1 qt. skim milk
- 2 c. frozen hash brown potatoes
- 2 (11 oz. each) cans corn with red and green peppers, drained
- 3/4 lb. turkey ham, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
Directions

1In 3-quart saucepan over medium-high heat, saute onion in oil 3 minutes or until translucent.

2Blend in flour and pepper. Remove pan from heat; slowly add milk, stirring constantly. Return pan to heat.

3Add potatoes; bring mixture to boil, stirring constantly.

4Add corn and turkey ham; return mixture to boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer soup 15 minutes or until potatoes are tender and mixture has thickened.
