  • 1 12 lbs lean ground turkey
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 12 green bell pepper, chopped (optional)
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 6 ounces tomato paste
  • 14 12 ounces tomato sauce
  • 28 ounces crushed tomatoes
  • 12 cup red wine (can sub chicken or beef stock)
  • 1 teaspoon basil
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 12 teaspoon garlic powder
  • salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 15 ounces part-skim ricotta cheese
  • 1 -2 egg
  • 12 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon parsley
  • 12 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 34 lb provolone cheese, sliced
  • 12 ounces lasagna noodles

Directions

    brown turkey with onion and bell pepper until cooked.

    drain if there is a lot of grease (there shouldn't be a need to).

    add garlic, tomatoes, basil, oregano and garlic powder.

    stir in wine and simmer 30 minutes.

    mix ricotta with eggs, garlic powder, parsley and parmesan cheese.

    layer in a 13x9 in pan 1/3 of the sauce, noodles, ricotta, then a layer of provolone.

    repeat layers, top with sauce, then noodles and provolone to top it.

    bake at 400 for 30 minutes.
