  • Vegetable oil spray
  • 1 pound ground turkey breast
  • 1 small onion, peeled and diced
  • 1 green bell pepper, cored, seeded, deribbed and diced
  • 1 cup dried bread crumbs, preferably whole wheat
  • 1/2 cup, plus 2 tablespoons, tomato sauce
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • Freshly ground pepper to taste

    Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

    Spray a baking sheet lightly with vegetable oil and set aside.

    Place all ingredients in a large bowl and use your hands to mix gently until well combined.

    Shape the turkey mixture into a loaf and place on the baking sheet.

    Bake until firm to the touch, about 40 minutes.

    Cut into slices and serve with mashed potatoes and mushroom gravy.
