- 2 lb. turnips
- 1/4 c. light cream or evaporated milk
- 1 beaten egg
- 2 Tbsp. oleo or butter
- 1/4 c. brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp. corn meal or uncooked Cream of Wheat
Directions

1Pare turnips and boil in salted water.

2Drain; mash (makes 2 cups mashed).

3Add light cream or evaporated milk, egg, oleo, brown sugar and corn meal or Cream of Wheat.

4Bake 40 minutes in 350° oven.
