  • 1 (14 oz.) pkg. caramels
  • 1/2 c. evaporated milk
  • 1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
  • 1 1/3 c. water
  • 3/4 c. soft butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 c. chopped pecans
  • 1 pkg. mini chocolate chips (semi-sweet)

Directions

    Melt caramels with evaporated milk. Mix cake mix with water, butter and eggs. Pour 1/2 batter in a 9 x 13 pan. Bake at 350° for 10 minutes. Pour melted caramels over that. Sprinkle nuts and chips over caramels. Pour remaining batter over this and bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes. Delicious.
