- 1 (9-inch) baked pastry shell
- 12 caramels, unwrapped
- 1 (14 oz.) can Eagle Brand condensed milk
- 1 (1 oz.) sq. unsweetened chocolate
- 1/4 c. margarine or butter
- 2 eggs
- 2 Tbsp. water
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- dash of salt
- 1/2 c. chopped pecans
Directions

1Preheat oven to 325°.

2Melt caramels with 1/3 cup of condensed milk over low heat.

3Spread evenly over pastry shell.

4Melt chocolate and margarine over low heat.

5Beat eggs with remainder of condensed milk, water, vanilla and salt.

6Add chocolate mixture; mix well.

7Pour over caramels.

8Top with pecans.

9Bake 35 minutes or until center is set.

10Cool and chill before serving.
