- 2 c. self-rising flour
- 1/4 c. Crisco
- 3/4 to 1 c. milk
- 1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
- 1 c. grated Monterey Jack cheese

1In a large bowl, cut Crisco into flour, until Crisco is the texture of peas.

2Add milk and mix.

3The dough should be wet.

4Add grated cheese.

6Dump onto floured surface.

7Knead four times.

8Roll or pat out to 1/4 to 1/2-inch thick.

9Using a biscuit cutter or a glass, cut biscuits. Place on ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 425° for 10 to 12 minutes or until brown.
