- 2 c. pastry flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 2/3 c. milk

1Cream shortening; add sugar slowly.

2Add well beaten eggs, beating well.

3Add vanilla.

4Sift together dry ingredients and add alternately with milk to first mixture.

5Heat oven to 350°.

6Bake in 2 layer cake pans about 25 minutes.
