  • 1 c. butter, softened
  • 3/4 c. packed brown sugar
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 1/4 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. chocolate chips
  • 1 c. peanut butter chips
  • ice cream (optional)

Directions

    Beat butter, sugars, eggs and vanilla until light and fluffy. Combine flour, baking soda and salt.

    Add to butter mixture, blending thoroughly.

    Stir in chocolate chips and peanut butter chips.

    Spread batter into a greased and floured 15 1/2 x 10 1/2-inch jelly roll pan.

    Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown.

    Cool completely; cut in 20 bars.

    Serve plain or topped with ice cream.
