- 1 pt. sweet red pepper, chopped
- 1 qt. green pepper, chopped
- 1 qt. cabbage, chopped
- 2 tsp. celery seed
- 4 c. sugar
- 1 qt. vinegar
- 2 or 3 hot peppers (optional)
- 5 Tbsp. salt
Directions

1Put each vegetable through food chopper using coarse blade. Drain off juice; discard.

2Measure each vegetable after chopped. Mix vegetables with salt; let set overnight.

3Next morning, drain off as much liquid as possible.

4Add spices, sugar and vinegar to vegetables; mix well and pack in jars to within 1/2 inch of top. Put on cap; screw firmly.

5Process in boiling water for 15 minutes.
