- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1/3 c. flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 c. milk
- 3 egg yolks, beaten
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 pie crust
- 2 c. meringue
Directions

1In a saucepan, mix sugar, flour and salt. Stir in milk.

2Cook until bubbly and stir for 2 minutes. Stir a portion of the hot mixture into egg yolks. Add to remaining hot mixture.

3Return to heat for 2 minutes. Add butter and vanilla.

4Pour into pie crust. Spread with a basic meringue and bake at 350° for 12 to 15 minutes.
