- 12 cup vegetable oil
- 12 cup yellow onion, chopped
- 5 garlic cloves, chopped
- 12 cup flour
- 4 tablespoons light soy sauce
- 4 teaspoons nutritional yeast
- 2 cups vegetable broth (or mushroom broth, or a mixture of the two)
- 12 teaspoon sage
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 14 teaspoon pepper
Directions

1Saute the onions and garlic in the oil over medium heat for 5 minutes.

2Stir in the flour, soy sauce and nutritional yeast to form a paste.

3Whisk in broth.

4Add sage, salt and pepper.

5Reduce heat to low and simmer, stirring, for 8-10 minutes.
