  • 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter or margarine

  • 1 cup chopped white potato
  • 1 pkg. (10 oz.) frozen green peas
  • 5 Tbsp. flour
  • 2 cans (13-1/4 oz. each) chicken broth
  • 8 , cut into small squares
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/8 tsp. ground white pepper

Directions

    Melt butter in 3-quart saucepan.

    Add onion, green pepper, carrot, potato and peas; cook 20 minutes or until tender.

    Remove from heat.

    Stir in flour; cook 1 minute.

    Stir broth gradually into vegetable mixture.

    Bring to boil, stirring constantly.

    Reduce heat to medium.
