Vegetable Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1/4 c. green pepper
  • 1/4 c. butter or margarine
  • 1/4 c. flour
  • 2/3 c. milk
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. sugar
  • dash of pepper
  • 1/2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
  • 1 c. drained tomatoes
  • 1 (9 oz.) pkg. corn and baby lima beans
  • 1 (9 oz.) pkg. chopped broccoli
  • 1 jar small onions or 1 pkg. small, frozen, whole onions, thawed

Directions

    Saute green pepper in 1/4 cup of butter or margarine.

    Add 1/4 cup flour, milk, salt, sugar and dash of pepper.

    When thickened, add cheese, tomatoes, corn and lima beans, broccoli and drained onions.

    Sprinkle with 1/2 cup grated Cheddar cheese.

    Place in buttered casserole.

    Bake at 350° for 50 minutes.
