  • 1 lb. ground beef or ham bone
  • 3 qt. water
  • 2 pkg. frozen vegetables (mixed)
  • 1 large potato, chopped
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 (14 1/2 oz.) can whole tomatoes, cut in pieces
  • 1 can tomato paste
  • 1 c. stick margarine
  • salt and pepper

Directions

    Brown beef in skillet or cook ham bone. Combine all other ingredients in large kettle and cook for 1 hour. Add meat and keep warm until served. The tomato paste is very important. It makes soup much better.
