- 2 lbs. beef, browned
- 1/4 - 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1 T. oil, if necessary
- 16 oz. can chopped tomatoes
- 3 bay leaves
- 1 large can tomato juice
- 4 c. water
- 5-6 beef bouillon cubes
- 2 stalks celery, chopped
- 2 c. chopped potatoes
- 2 c. cut carrots
- 1/2 - 1 c. chopped cabbage
- 2 c. green beans
- 1 can corn
- 1 can peas
- salt and pepper, to taste
Directions

1Cook meat and onion until onion is soft.

2Add tomatoes and bay leaves.

3Simmer 20 minutes.

4Add next 7 ingredients.

5Cook on medium heat until vegetables are done.

6Add remaining ingredients. Salt and pepper to taste.

7Remove bay leaves.
