Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. beef, browned
  • 1/4 - 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1 T. oil, if necessary
  • 16 oz. can chopped tomatoes
  • 3 bay leaves
  • 1 large can tomato juice
  • 4 c. water
  • 5-6 beef bouillon cubes
  • 2 stalks celery, chopped
  • 2 c. chopped potatoes
  • 2 c. cut carrots
  • 1/2 - 1 c. chopped cabbage
  • 2 c. green beans
  • 1 can corn
  • 1 can peas
  • salt and pepper, to taste

Directions

    Cook meat and onion until onion is soft.

    Add tomatoes and bay leaves.

    Simmer 20 minutes.

    Add next 7 ingredients.

    Cook on medium heat until vegetables are done.

    Add remaining ingredients. Salt and pepper to taste.

    Remove bay leaves.
