Venison Chili

- 6 Tbsp. butter
- 6 medium onions, sliced
- 3 lb. ground venison
- 2 (28 oz.) cans tomatoes
- 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
- 1 c. beer
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. Tabasco
- 3 Tbsp. chili powder
- 1/2 lb. spaghetti (optional)
Directions

1Melt butter in large saucepan.

2Add the onions and cook at medium heat until transparent, hot brown; add the ground venison and cook until lightly brown.

3(Break it up with a fork.)

4Add the tomatoes, tomato paste, beer, salt, Tabasco and chili powder. Lower heat and simmer for 45 to 50 minutes.

5If spaghetti is used, prepare according to the package directions and add during the last 15 minutes of cooking time.

6Serves 8.
