- 6 lb. venison, cut in chunks
- 15 onions, chopped
- 3 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 10 drops Tabasco
- 4 tsp. allspice
- 1 bay leaf
- 2 cans button mushrooms
- 2 c. Claret wine
- salt and pepper
Directions

1Brown meat in oil; stir constantly.

2Add 1 cup wine and stir well.

3Add onions, Tabasco, spices and seasonings.

4Cook slowly, adding remaining wine.

5May add water or stock juice.

6Keep tightly covered and cook 4 to 5 hours, adding mushrooms last 1/2 hour.
