Ingredients

  • 1/4 c. butter or oleo
  • 2 c. chopped green onion
  • 1 c. chopped celery
  • 1 qt. chicken stock or bouillon
  • 1/2 tsp. paprika
  • 2 Tbsp. minced chives
  • 2 c. chopped potatoes
  • 2 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 2 c. cream

Directions

    Melt butter in saucepan. Add onion and celery, stirring constantly. Add chicken stock, potatoes and garlic salt.

    Cook until potatoes are tender, about 30 minutes.

    Put in blender. Add other ingredients. Stir to blend. Serve hot or very cold. Serves 6 to 8.
