- 2 c. cornmeal (self-rising)
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 2 c. sweet milk
- 2 c. Vidalia onions, finely chopped
Directions

1Combine all ingredients except onions (batter will be thin). Stir in onions, mixing well.

2Pour into well-greased iron skillet.

3Bake at 350° for 30 minutes or until light brown.

4Let cool 10 minutes before serving.
