  • 1 1/2 c. soda cracker crumbs
  • 2 1/2 c. thinly sliced raw Vidalia onions
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1/2 lb. grated Cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 c. melted butter
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 3 eggs, slightly beaten

    Mix cracker crumbs with 1/2 cup melted butter and press into a 10-inch pie plate.

    Saute onions in 2 tablespoons butter and pour into the crust.

    Scald milk and add slowly into the eggs.

    Add grated cheese and stir.

    Pour over onions and bake 35 minutes at 350°.
