  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. vinegar

Directions

    Melt butter in saucepan.

    Add sugar and vinegar.

    Stir until sugar dissolves.

    Wash down sides of pan with pastry brush dipped in cold water.

    Boil mixture to brittle stage (256° on candy thermometer).

    Slightly cool, then pull until white and cut into small pieces with scissors or sharp knife.

    Arrange pieces on slightly buttered plates to cool.
