- 3/4 c. cider vinegar
- 1 1/2 c. water
- 1 1/4 c. sugar, divided
- 4 tsp. cinnamon, divided
- 2 c. sifted flour
- 1 Tbsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/3 c. shortening
- 3/4 c. milk
- 4 Tbsp. butter, divided
Directions

1Combine vinegar, water, 1 cup sugar and 2 teaspoons cinnamon. Stir over low heat until sugar dissolves.

2Cook over medium heat 20 minutes.

3Mix flour, baking powder and salt.

4Cut in shortening; stir in milk with a fork until a soft dough forms. Roll out into a rectangle about 1/4-inch thick.

5Combine remaining sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle over dough.

6Dot with 2 tablespoons butter.

7Roll up, starting at long side.

8Cut crosswise into slices about 1 1/4-inch thick.

9Place cut side up close together in deep baking dish.

10Dot with butter.

11Pour hot vinegar mixture over rolls.

12Bake 30 to 40 minutes at 375°.

13Serve hot with cream.
