Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 34 cup chopped onion
  • 34 cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1 (14 ounce) can diced tomatoes, drained
  • 12 cup dry red wine
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 14 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 teaspoons celery seeds
  • salt and pepper
  • 12 Italian rolls, toasted

Directions

    Cook ground beef, onion, bell pepper and garlic over medium heat in a large skillet until beef is browned, crumbling with a fork.

    Transfer to slow cooker.

    Add remaining ingredients except salt, pepper and rolls.

    Cover and cook on high for 2-3 hours.

    Season to taste with salt and pepper.
