  • 1 c. sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. vinegar
  • 5 Tbsp. melted butter or shortening
  • 1 c. water

Directions

    Sift dry ingredients together into an ungreased 9 x 9 pan. Make three holes in the dry mixture. In the first hole, pour the vanilla. In the second hole, pour the vinegar. In the third hole, pour the melted butter. Pour the water over the whole thing and mix thoroughly.
