  • 9/16 cup butter
  • 2 cups flour
  • 4 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • salt
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tablespoons rum

Directions

    Melt the butter and set aside to cool.

    Mix the flour, sugar, brown sugar, and a pinch of salt.

    Make a well, add the egg and the rum,. Start mixing and add the melted butter. Knead until you obtain a smooth dough ball, but slightly sticky. Cover the dough with a plastic film and refrigerate for 4 hours minimum.

    Form small balls of dough that you flatten slightly before placing them in a hot waffle maker. Let the waffles cool down on a rack (they will become harder as they cool down).
