- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 tablespoon malted milk powder
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 tablespoons chilled unsalted butter, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
- 3/4 cup walnuts, toasted, chopped
- 3/4 cup whole milk
Directions

1Preheat oven to 450F.

2Mix first 5 ingredients in medium bowl.

3Add butter and rub in with fingertips until mixture resembles fine meal.

4Stir in walnuts.

5Add milk and stir with fork until dough comes together.

6Gather dough into ball.

7Knead dough gently on floured work surface until smooth, about 10 turns.

8Pat dough into 9-inch square about 1/2 inch thick.

9Cut dough into 9 squares.

10Transfer squares to ungreased baking sheet, spacing 2 inches apart.

11Bake biscuits until puffed and light golden brown, about 15 minutes.
