  • 3 c. sugar
  • 1 c. white Karo
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 c. chopped walnuts
  • 2 egg whites

Directions

    Boil sugar, Karo and water until it threads.

    Add syrup to 2 beaten egg whites slowly.

    Add to above mixture the butter, vanilla and baking powder.

    Beat all until thickened, then add the cup of nuts.

    Stir.

    Pour into buttered pan.

    Cut in squares when cool.
