  • 1/2 c. oleo, softened
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 tsp. water
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 c. enriched flour
  • 1/2 c. walnuts, chopped
  • confectioners sugar

Directions

    Cream butter, shortening and sugar.

    Mix in water and vanilla, then flour and nuts.

    Chill for 3 to 4 hours.

    Roll out in long rolls 1/2 inch across.

    Cut in 3 inch lengths and shape in crescents.

    Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 15 minutes in 325° oven.

    Do not brown.

    Take out and roll in confectioners sugar while warm.
