Walnut-Raisin Bread

  • 2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. butter or margarine, softened
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 c. orange juice
  • 1 (8 oz.) can crushed pineapple (undrained)
  • 1 c. raisins
  • 1 c. chopped walnuts

Directions

    In small bowl, combine flour, baking powder, soda and salt; set aside.

    In large bowl, cream butter and sugar; add egg and orange juice.

    Beat until smooth.

    Mix in flour mixture and pineapple.

    Stir in raisins and walnuts.

    Pour in greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch pan; bake at 350° for 60 to 70 minutes.
