- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Filling
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/4 cup sour cream
Directions

1In mixing bowl, cream the butter and brown sugar. Beat in egg & vanilla.

2Combine dry ingredients; gradually add to the creamed mixture.

3Refrigerate for 30 minutes.

4Roll into 1-inch balls.

5Place 2-inches apart on greased baking sheets.

6Using the end of a wooden spoon handle, make an indentation in the center of each ball.

7Combine filling ingredients.

8Spoon about 1 teaspoonful into each cookie.

9Bake at 350 degrees for 11 to 13 minutes or until lightly browned.

10Cool for 5 minutes before removing to wire racks.
