- 1 c. butter
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. Karo
- 3 Tbsp. water
- 1 1/2 c. black walnuts
- 6 oz. chocolate chips
Directions

1Butter 9-inch square pan.

2Melt butter in bowl.

3Stir in sugar gradually.

4Add syrup and water.

5Cook over medium heat to 290°. Add 1 cup walnuts and cook for 3 minutes.

6Pour into buttered pan. After mixture has hardened, take out of pan and place on wax paper.

7In a separate pan, melt the chips and spread 1/2 on top of toffee.

8Sprinkle 1/2 of the remaining walnuts on top of chocolate.

9After chips harden, turn over and repeat this process. Break toffee into pieces.
