  • 2 cups sugar
  • 3 cups flour, all-purpose
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup walnuts
  • 1pn Nutmeg
  • 1 x vegetable oil
  • 4 large eggs
  • 3 cups apples chopped

    In large bowl of mixer, sift together dry ingredients.

    With mixer on slowest speed, add oil.

    At medium speed, add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.

    Add vanilla.

    Stir in the apples and walnuts.

    Turn batter into a greased tub pan.

    Bake at 350F (180C) F for 1 hour or until toothpick comes out clean.

    Cool 10 minutes in pan and turn out on plate.

    Serve with sweetened whipped cream.
