  • 1 c. butter or margarine (room temperature)
  • 1/2 c. sifted powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 2 1/4 c. sifted flour
  • 3/4 c. chopped nuts

Directions

    Cream margarine and powdered sugar.

    Stir in vanilla and salt. Add flour gradually.

    Work in nuts thoroughly.

    Chill dough 1 hour.

    Form 1-inch balls.

    Bake on ungreased baking sheet at 400° for 10 to 12 minutes.

    Dough should be set, but not brown.

    Roll while warm in sifted powdered sugar.

    Cool, then roll in powdered sugar again.
