  • 1 cup butter or 1 cup margarine, softened
  • 1 14 cups powdered sugar, sifted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups flour, sifted
  • 14 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup pecans, finely chopped
  • powdered sugar

Directions

    Cream together the butter, powdered sugar and vanilla.

    Add the flour and salt gradually to creamed mixture.

    Add the chopped nuts making sure everything is mixed throughly.

    Shape into 2 - 1 1/4 inch in diameter rolls.

    Wrap in wax paper and place in fridge for several hours.

    Cut into 1/4 inch slices, place on ungreased baking sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes or until slightly browned.

    Remove from cookie sheet and roll in powdered sugar; place on rack and let cool.
